This pass is valid from the 5th of may to the 30th of november 2008
Acces to the following lift systems, depending of their opening dates :

HIKES : SOME ROUTES

For one hour or for a day, Les Houches and Servoz are the startinf point for a multitude of treks and hikes, accessible to everyone.
In the forest or the alpine meadows, the groomed and signposted trails invite you to discover the natural heritage of the Chamonix valley. Les houches trails map and the Chamonix valley map can help you during your holydays. You can find it in our offices

Exemples in Les Houches :

- The Mont Blanc thematic trails : live and survive, tricks of the alpine fauna
On the boundary of Merlet animal park, an easy trail on altitude to understand the life of the alpine animals

- The Merlet animal park
A magnificient 20 hectares park where mountain ibex, chamois, marmots and deer roam in freedom. Video projection about the alpine fauna. Exhibition on the history of Merlet. 1h30 approximatly

- "Chalets de Charousse"
Alpine meadows on the heights of Les Houches. Approach on foot (parking a 15-minute walk) to discover this small hamlet of old and anthentic farms enjoying a magnificent panorama. Ideal for families

- The Carlaveyron Nature Reserve
Ceated in 1991, the reserve protect a zone of 598 hectares. The difficult access and the wild character of its nature, sheltered from all human contact, have allowed a diverse fauna and flora to develop. Certain emblematical species such the ptarmigan and the royal eagle find the refuge here that has been lost elsewhere

- The " Lac Vert"
Wonderful lookout on the Mont Blanc massif, it is also a fishink lake.
From the center of Servoz, take the direction of "Le Mont" at the post office and continue by road to the parking of "Cote". Then follow the yellow signs.

2 hours go and back

- "Tête de la Fontaine"
Natural site on balcony. From Servoz downtown, from the post office, take the road in direction of "Mont" until "Moulins" hamlet. From the parking, follow the yellow signs, cross the bridge and climb along the river, to join the "Pormenaz" trail until cottage's home. Back from the "Diosaz" balcony (difficult passages)
3 hours go and back

- The "Gures"
Rocky massif that dominates the plain and the "Arve" valley. It's an old Celtic camp (hidden in the vegetation). From the Old Servoz, go down on your left, then after "Lanterne" bridge, take on your right. Nature walk, yellow signs.
2 hours go and back

- The "Alpages de Pormenaz" trail
A them trail leaving from the "Maison de l'alpage" or from the parking of the "Moulins" hamlet.
Alpine meadow with 600 sheep. Exceptional panorama.
5 hours go and back

CLIMBING SCHOOL

Les Houches and Servoz propose two natural climbing sites : one at les Chavants and the other one at Plaine Saint Jean
The mountain gudies and climbing instructors will help you discover these sites under maximum security.
it is also possible to practice indoor climbing with "Mont-Blanc Escalade".



MOUNTAINEERING COURSES

The best thing to do mountain or hiking courses, easy or difficult, it is to go with a guide : it is "the commitment of a private guide."
However, if you are without group or if you want to reduce the cost, the various guides' companies offer a collectif formula, whatever your level and your motivation.

ASCENT OF MONT BLANC

We are at 4810m, 5000m almost !
If the ascent of Mont Blanc is no problem in good weather, it can become very difficult when it's windy or foggy.
However, it can be considered by anyone in good physical shape but requires good endurance and addiction to the altitude, which may be acquired during some races before.
